FOLLOWING news that former Bolton Wanderers striker Dean Holdsworth is fronting a bid to take over his old club, we asked fans for their views.

Here are some of their responses:

Anthony Henshall @tonyjoe90 – All I can say is fair play to Holdsworth. A 1,000 thank yous if this does come off.

Cameron Stubbs @cameron_stubbs – Change is needed. Great that it's from people with a BWFC past. I support the changes, but keep Neil in charge.

Chris McKeown @cemck1 – Any investment big or small is welcome. Change is needed to bring smiles to faces and put bums back on seats.

Jeezy Creezy @Zappabeefheart – Nobody knows what this consortium's intentions are. Even if it does happen I see no reason to get excited. Not yet.

Jason Mooney via Facebook/theboltonnews – Anything’s better than what we’ve got now. Can’t go any worse, but I just can’t see where the spending money would come from.

Stephen Michael Rock via facebook.com/boltonnewsboltonwanderersfc – It would be good if he shows an interest in the club, which the current owners seem to have lost. If they invest money in the club it would be good and could help us back up the league and into the Premier League, where the club belongs.

Gareth and Samantha Foy via facebook.com/boltonnewsboltonwanderersfc – Yes it will be good news for the Whites. Come on – get it signed and get rid of Gartside and inject some cash, then it will be exciting times at BWFC.

Martin Jones via facebook.com/theboltonnews – Definitely time for a revamp. Current hierarchy holding the club back. Never the same since they let big Sam walk.

Anita Stokes @anita2203 – All the Bolton fans want is for the best interests of the club... so here's hoping.

Ginny Hadfield @sophthecatsmum – Bit sceptical at moment given our debts, but because a former player is involved I trust they're not like Vincent Tan.
