BOLTON wrestler George Ramm was lost for words after winning a bronze medal at the European Junior Wrestling Championships in Romania on Saturday.

The 19-year-old Sharples Wrestling Club member lost to Russian Uruzbek Tsomartov in the 60kg semi-finals but picked himself up to beat Polish opponent Patryk Krzysztof Olenczyn 9-4 to finish third and claim Britain's first ever medal at the prestigious tournament.

"Words can't describe what I'm feeling," said Ramm, who has moved to Europe this year to train with the continent's best wrestlers in Austria, Ukraine, Sweden and Germany.

"Some people don't think we can compete in sports like wrestling so words can't describe (what the wins means)."
