BOLTON Rugby Club have gone straight to the top in recruiting a helping hand for their clubhouse renovation.
Former England captain and World Cup winner Lewis Moody has been made an honorary board member at Avenue Street and he wasted no time in getting his hands dirty at the club.
Moody helped to break the ground in readiness for the construction of The Shed, a new community store being built this summer, before turning his hand to painting the changing rooms.
In addition to the manual labour, Moody attended his first AGM and will be looking at ways to attract new members to the club and help it to become more sustainable.
The ex-Leicester and Bath flanker will be working with Bolton as part of the NatWest RugbyForce initiative, a nationwide programme that helps grassroots rugby clubs up and down the country to form their own legacies and improve their sustainability.
