ROB Holding has completed his move to Arsenal, signing a long-term contract with the Gunners.

While the fee is officially undisclosed, it is believed that £2million has been paid up front, with substantial bonuses also agreed and based upon future success. A sell-on fee has also been included.

News of Arsenal’s interest was first broken by The Bolton News on May 7 when he was pulled out of the team due to face Fulham on the final day of the Championship season.

Since then, at least two other Premier League clubs have had bids turned down, and Wanderers have haggled Arsenal’s upfront fee up almost three-fold from £750,000.

The 20-year-old defender made 30 appearances last season and won the Whites’ player of the year award.

“It’s something you dream of as a kid,” he told Arsenal’s official website. “I can’t wait to get started.”
