WANDERERS lost Tuesday night's friendly against Burnley at the Macron Stadium 2-1 to a late goal.
Spectacular it wasn’t but if Wanderers had looked this organised when they were playing at the same level as Burnley last season, who knows how differently things would have panned out.
Andre Gray’s penalty put the Turf Moor men ahead before Jay Spearing’s delightful finish just after half time should have given Wanderers a deserved share of the spoils.
But in the dying moments Josh Ginnelly got free of Alex Finney and despite the young defender’s best efforts, drilled into the bottom corner for the winner.
