WANDERERS fans will have to move quickly if they are to tick off AFC Wimbledon’s Kingsmeadow off their list.

The club has been given an allocation of just 725 terrace tickets and 74 seated tickets for the first away game of the season on Saturday, August 13.

Tickets go on sale from 10am today to home season ticket holders but seats can only be bought in person at Bolton Central or by phone.

Terraced tickets are £17 for adults, £11 over-65s/students, £4 under-18s. Seated tickets are £24 for adults, £11 for over-65s/students and £4 under-18s.

Wimbledon took a step forward to moving back towards their spiritual home at Plough Lane yesterday when London Mayor Sadiq Khan began a 14-day consultation period over a new stadium to be built on the old greyhound track.

Chelsea have bought Kingsmeadow and Merton Council initially gave their go-ahead to the move last year, only for former mayor Boris Johnson to bring them back in for review.

The new plans could potentially see a 20,000 seater ground with 602 residential units and have the club playing close to their former Plough Lane home, which was vacated in 1991 following the publication of the Taylor Report.

That eventually led to the break-up of 1988 FA Cup winners Wimbledon and the formation of MK Dons, who relocated to Milton Keynes.

AFC Wimbledon were formed in opposition to the move in 2002 and the club rose through the non-league pyramid to reach the Football League in 2011. Last season they beat Plymouth Argyle at Wembley to gain promotion to League One, where they will compete against Wanderers.
