TURTON boss Neil Hart said a catalogue of errors led to his side’s undoing as they fell to a 3-1 home defeat to Lostock St Gerards in their Premier Division clash on Saturday.

After a first half in which they looked comfortable, Turton conceded three goals in 30 second-half minutes, only netting a consolation in the last minute through Phil Johnson.

Hart told The Bolton News: “We played well in the first half after speaking about starting positively but we didn’t get the breaks.

“In the second half it was a catalogue of errors that cost us.

“We dominated possession but that doesn’t win you games.”

It does not get any easier for Hart’s men as they travel to local rivals Tempest United on Saturday.

Tempest won 4-2 at Vickerstown thanks to goals from Kurtis Farlow, Luke Skelly, Tom Booth and Steve Barlow.

Ross McNair’s team sit 10 points and nine places above Turton and Hart is expecting a tough contest again.

He said: “Ross has got them flying and they are on a great run.

“They are well-organised and we will have to work hard to get a result.”

Elsewhere, goals from player/manager Simon Whaley and Jack Horan were not enough as Eagley lost 5-2 at home to Blackpool Wren Rovers.

In Division One, CMB beat Haslingden St Marys 3-1 at home, coming from a goal down thanks to a brace from Matthew Carr and one from Scott McNair.

However, Ladybridge were thumped 8-1 at home by leaders Poulton, Keenan Quansey with their only goal.

* In the Manchester League, Breightmet United lost 5-2 at Royton Town in the Gilgryst Cup, while Bolton County beat Heywood St James 7-1 at home in the Murray Shield.
