BOLTON News chief football writer Marc Iles has been nominated for the North West Football Awards.
He is on a shortlist of four who have been selected by a panel of judges based on their work over the last 12 months.
Iles writes predominantly about Bolton Wanderers and has produced outstanding coverage this year on the club's change of ownership and their financial problems which almost saw them go out of business.
The other names on the shortlist are David Conn of the Guardian, Simon Stone of the BBC and Jack Dearden of BBC Radio Manchester.
The winner will be selected at the event's dinner on Monday, November 14 at The Point, Old Trafford cricket ground.
