BOLTON Under-18s Senior Colts recorded a resounding 36-5 victory over Sedgley on Sunday in the North West Senior Colts Conference D league to move up to third in the table.

Jonny Wallis produced a dominant performance for Bolton, putting 10 points on the board with two tries to cap a solid defensive display.

Sedgley started the game on the front foot, kicking off expertly and putting the Bolton defensive line under pressure from the wing.

Once Sedgley were forced to concede a penalty, the game changed as David Price’s kicking came into play.

Adam Hackin scored Bolton’s first try after a neat passing move between Morgan Smith and Jamie Currie who then offloaded to Rohan Patel before Hackin surged forward.

Wallis got his first of the day, started by a trademark Price kick upfield. Price then converted to make it 12-0.

Sedgley started the second half as strongly, as they had the first, this time turning their dominance into points with their first try.

Bolton turned up the heat again, with Wallis getting his second try after being awarded a scrum. Price converted again to make it 19-5.

After the kick off, Bolton, who host Crewe and Nantwich on Sunday, were awarded another scrum on the 15m line, enabling Nathan Collins to break and extend the lead to 24-5.

Sedgley had no reply, and while they were on the back foot they allowed Sam Smith to make the score 31-5 by rounding the full-back at pace and touching down by the side of the post.

Harvey Banks put the nail in Sedgley's coffin to make it 36-5 just before the final whistle.

Bolton U13s beat Sedgley Park 25-10 in a friendly on Sunday as they looked to bounce back from last weekend’s heavy defeat.

Oliver Keogh continued to shine, adding four more tries to his tally in a season in which he has scored in every game.

Keogh’s first came just two minutes and Bolton – who are at home to Preston Grasshoppers on Sunday – then dug deep to win scrum after scrum, marshalled by an impressive Levi Waite.

The second half was a similar affair, with Bolton's work at the breakdown proving the difference between the two teams and providing space for the free-scoring Keogh to put points on the board.

Connor Whittle managed to get his name on the scoresheet late on with his first try of the season, showing his power to force himself over the line.
