BAR Hill JFC clinched the Division One championship in the BSF Over-35s' Football League on Friday when they beat North Walkden 4-2 at home following their 3-1 win against Salford Victoria on Tuesday,

They were scheduled to play their final game at Mitchells Unicorn to night but the match has been called off due to both teams being unable to raise a team.

Mitchells beat Turton Bay Mare 6-2 on Sunday and are fifth in the table.

A brace from Stritch and one apiece from Richardson, Galbraith, Bates and Butters scored the Mitchells goals with Clarke and Woodhead replying for Turton.

Mersey Valley Vets B pipped Radcliffe Old Boys A to the Division Two runners-up spot by winning 4-0 at Radcliffe on Sunday with Dion Goodridge, Marek Adamiuk, Andrew Naughton and Kevin Walton scoring their goals.

The trophies and medals for the season will be presented at the league’s annual general meeting at Bolton Cricket Club on Friday, June 2.
