GOLBORNE recorded their second victory in the Dixon Air Conditioning Bolton League Twenty20 competition on Friday when they beat Atherton by 16 runs.

Jake Waterworth steered them to 115-7 with 41 not out before a quickfire 26 from Scott Ryan was not enough for Atherton.

Little Hulton made 81 from their 20 overs against Farnworth, with Danny Higham the pick of the Lavender Road side's bowlers with 2-7 from his four overs.

After the loss of two early wickets, a half century partnership between Kamran Younas and Imran Mirza took Farnworth to victory with almost five overs remaining.

Daisy Hill could only score 93-8 despite 45 from Adnan Raees as Kieran Edwards and Rob Brown took three wickets apiece.

A half century partnership between Qaiser Abbas and Jordan Higham put Westhoughton on course for victory which was achieved with only two balls remaining in a tense finish.

Kearsley were again responsible for the highest score of the day, as Grant Cordin (57) and Cameron Murray (62) helped them to 171-6.

Jack Scott then took 3-17 as Tonge just reached three figures.

George Tipping lead the way with 36 out of Blackrod's 99-9 in defeat to Adlington.

Majid Majeed and Iain Critchley took three wickets. Despite losing three wickets on 82 Adlington overtook this total for the loss of six wickets, despite 2-11 from Tush De Zoyza.

Lostock beat Horwich, posting a healthy 130-6 with a half century for Hasnain Addas. Phil Ingram was the pick of the bowlers with 3-24. Despite more than 30 runs from Brett Pelser and Marcus Haydock, Horwich ended their innings nine runs short of victory.

Sam Hardman hit almost half Heaton's runs, with 56 out of 120. Danny Counsell taking 3-28. Agar Salman then smashed 75 from 52 deliveries to lead Eagley to an eight wicket victory with more than four overs remaining.

Simon Anderton with 49 and Dane Hargreaves with 40 helped Little Lever post 132-4. Tuseef Ahmed then recorded the top bowling performance of the day with 4-19 as Darcy Lever were dismissed for 107, despite 30 for Freddie Oliver.

On Tuesday night, an opening partnership which just fell short of 100 between Darcy Cotter and Marwan Mohammad led Bradshaw to a comfortable nine-wicket win against Astley Bridge.
