FORMER Wanderers target Michiel Kramer has been released by his club Sparta Rotterdam after picking up a SEVEN game ban for stamping on an opponent’s face.

The Dutch target man was seriously considered by Phil Parkinson in January as a potential back-up to Gary Madine after leaving Feyenoord.

A deal could not be struck with the 29-year-old, who finished up staying in Rotterdam for the rest of the season.

His contract has again been ripped up, however, after he was handed a straight red card during Sparta’s 7-0 defeat against Vitesse Arnhem for kicking Alexander Buttner in the face.

A seven-game ban was issued by the Dutch authorities, ending his season prematurely, and prompting Sparta to take action.

Kramer – who stands at 6ft 5ins – wanted to remain in the Netherlands in January and so is unlikely to come up on Wanderers’ radar this summer.
