BURNDEN won three age categories at the Joan Rhodes and Eileen Royle Memorial 5k at Radcliffe.

Steve Nolan was ninth overall and first V55 in 18mins 50secs, with Rob Short (19:11), Paul Duke (19:23) and Marcus Taylor (19:35) the others to finish under 20 minutes.

Paula Pilling was third in the ladies' race and second F40 in 21:05, ahead of Sarah Watton, fifth overall and third FS, in 21:31.

Two other members won their age categories. Gwen Kinloch was first F55 in 22:16 and Anne Ferguson was first F60 in 23:47.

Sheila Christie was third F55 in 26:10, Carolyn Barker second F50 in 26:15 and Emma Walker second F45 in 26:27.

Shay Walker was fourth in the Morecambe Half Marathon in 1:25:39, although confusion caused by a marshal suggests he could have actually finished even higher.

Kirsty White won the Trailblaster Ultra six-hour solo ladies' race at Burnley, completing 11 laps – the equivalent of 55km – in 5:22:55 – a full lap plus 26 minutes ahead of the second placed female finisher.

No competitor managed more laps than her and she was only six minutes off taking the overall first prize and overhauling the men’s race winner.

Lee White completed eight laps in 3:56:32 and Sue Blackman registered six laps in 4:49:34.

Simon Marland finished fourth overall in the 12-hour solo event, completing 12 laps in 7:53:19.

Dawn Evans was in Leeds for the Endure 24-hour Ultra and covered seven laps of the course in 23:03:57, stretching a total of 35 miles.

Steven Snape, Joyce Tyldesley and Bill Kelly travelled to the coast for the Southport Half Marathon.

Snape was first to finish in 2:45:50, followed by Tyldesley in 3:02:38 and Kelly in 3:19:27.

Lucille Corrigan took on the tough climbs of the Lake District at the Saunders Lakeland Mountain Marathon. Partnered by Richard Smith, she covered the 17k Wansfell course, with 1,140m of steep climb, in 6:33:10 on the Saturday and followed that up with 5:30:35 over the 12k Sunday course, with 920m of ascent.

Julie Riddle and Jackie Oakes opted for a cycling challenge and took on the Sigma Sports West Coast Classic Sportive, covering the 56-mile short route together in 5:04:12.
