ALICE Briffa proved herself a golden girl again at the English Junior Wrestling Championships.
The 12-year-old from Westhoughton retained her title when she became girls' champion in her age group.
Alice, who goes to Westhoughton High School, was joined at the championships in Alfreton, Derbyshire, by fellow Bolton wrestler Lewis Mulligan, who finished second.
The St Joseph RC High School pupil, aged 12 – who previously finished third in the Helsinki Open in Finland – improved his position at last year's English Junior Wrestling Championships when he finished third.
Both are members of Aspull Warriors Wrestling Club, also train with Bolton Wrestling Club and Salford Wrestling Academy, and are part of the Northern England Regional Wrestling Squad.
