JOSH Magennis has joined an exclusive club after scoring in his first two games for Wanderers.

The Northern Ireland international added Bolton’s second of the day against Bristol City to become only the sixth post-war player to score on each of his first two starts for the club.

Magennis struck on his debut against West Brom last weekend as is now two for two as Phil Parkinson’s side kept up an unbeaten start in the Championship.

Here are the other players to have achieved the feat… Zach Clough (2015) – The homegrown striker netted on his debut against Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup then followed it up with two against Wolves in a 2-2 draw in the Championship.

Daniel Sturridge (2011) – Loaned from Chelsea on transfer deadline day of January 2011, the soon-to-be England international scored a late winner against Wolves and then a consolation in his next game at Tottenham in the Premier League.

John Sheridan (1996) – Signed by Colin Todd on loan from Sheffield Wednesday, the midfielder actually scored three times in his first six games before making the deal a permanent one. The first two were in a 3-1 defeat at Birmingham City and the first in a 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace at Burnden.

Paul Fletcher (1968) – The young striker had to wait a while for his second start for Bolton after scoring on his debut in a 2-1 defeat against Crystal Palace in November, 1968.

Five weeks later he netted in a 2-2 draw at Charlton Athletic.

William McAdams (1960) – And in the days when Bill Ridding was in charge at Wanderers, Northern Irish striker Billy McAdams – signed as a successor to the late, great Nat Lofthouse – scored twice in a 4-1 win against Chelsea and then again four days later in a 2-1 defeat against Spurs.
