GOALS hero Stelios said club skipper Kevin Nolan did not deserve to be jeered by sections of his own supporters after being substituted against Derby.
The Greek star came on for Nolan in the 81st minute before scoring a goal that gives Wanderers breathing space over the bottom three.
But after being told of the negative response from the crowd when the captain's number was held up, Stelios admitted he was shocked.
"I was focused on coming into the game, but if fans did that, then he does not deserve it," he said.
