JASON Roberts struck in the last minute to hand Blackburn the derby spoils at the Reebok Stadium.
The former Wigan striker, on as a substitute, raced through on Roque Santa Cruz's flick and through three Wanderers defenders before poking a shot which deflected off Joey O'Brien and past Jussi Jaaskelainen.
It completed a second-half comeback for Rovers, who had equalised Kevin Nolan's excellent volley with a header from Chris Samba.
Nolan's volley just before the break - his fourth goal of the season - stood out as a rare moment to get the pulses racing.
Perfectly measuring Joey O'Brien's deep cross, he smashed the ball right-footed past Brad Friedel to leave the American keeper motionless.
Had Tamir Cohen put more on his shot from eight yards out immediately after the break, then Wanderers might well have been celebrating a fifth successive league win at the Reebok.
But shortly after Jussi Jaaskelainen had kept his side in front with an excellent reaction save from Roque Santa Cruz, big Frenchman Samba headed home from David Bentley's corner.
It was then left to Roberts to steal the show, scoring just over 10 minutes after arriving as a substitute.
He raced past three challenges before getting the luck his persistence deserved with the winning goal.
