Captain Kevin Nolan is urging Wanderers fans to pile into the Reebok for the cut-price Uefa Cup clash with Atletico Madrid.

It is all set to be a massive European night for the visit of the La Liga championship contenders as the knockout stages begin on February 14 (8pm).

"It is not going to be a love-in that's for sure !" said Nolan.

"It is a huge game - one of the biggest that I can remember - and we need the fans to be our 12th man."

And season ticket holders and children will once again benefit from a huge reduction in admission prices.

Adult season ticket holders will pay only £5 for their seat, plus just £5 for one other additional adult seat while concessions (supporters aged 21 and under or aged 65 and over) pay just £4.

Children under the age of 16, who are accompanied with a full paying adult, will only need to pay £1*.

Tickets can be purchased over the phone (0871 871 2932), by fax (0871 871 8183) or in person at the Reebok Stadium or online at www.bwfc.co.uk.

If there aren't 28,000 people inside the ground that night we don't deserve Premiership football, never mind European.

Let's forget all our relegation worries, concerns about the direction of the club and lack of a striker etc and go and watch us play one of the best teams in Europe.

Anyone who saw Munich/Marseille/Sev

Agree - I'll be there and am looking forward to it, and I'll probably bring half a dozen people who wouldnt be going if I didnt "cajole" them into it. However after persuading them to go to the Sheff U & Braga games its not easy. Taking someone to a game is supposed to give them the incentive to go in future, but our cup games have done the opposite, it makes people realise they werent missing anything after all. PS The price of the Madrid tickets will make it impossible to persuade anyone to buy a ticket for the Fulham game, a lot of folk expect games to cost no more than £10 now.

Jon W, westhoughton says...

Its interesting that Nolan calls this a "huge game" - I hope someone tells Megson that for his sake because Kev will probably be rested for this one, along with most of his teammates. I hope I'm wrong, but I want to hear the manager saying its a huge game, not a player who will be sat on the bench.

I've already bought our tickets tonight on line. Couldn't believe the price. Felt like buying one for all my friends except they are only on sale to season ticket holders at the moment. Bolton fans are always saying it is mainly the high prices that are keeping them away from the Reebok, so now's your chance to show Gartside and company that if they lowered their prices they would get more ticket holders and better gates. If you don't show up they will know that whatever they do they can't win. As for those moaning about the date, well the Wanderers didn't choose it. Anyway, what could be more romantic than sitting beneath the stars with your loved one, sharing an expensive meat and potato pie? For the posh ones amongst us, the restaurants will still be open after the game if Reebok fare isn't good enough. Come on let's relive the happy days when a visit from a "Big" team meant being so packed together that you couldn't take your hands out of your pockets... oh happy, happy days! Let's stop moaning about our league position and enjoy European football at the Reebok for one more glorious time. Let the kids see at least one full house at the Reebok in their life time. Who knows, it may catch on!

We have no league game on the weekend of 16 Feb so there is no excuse for not playing a strong lineup in the home game against Madrid. Having watched the Madrid derby last night I would suggest that if we DONT play a strong team against them we could get hammered. But I did say the same about Munich!!!!

Did anyone watch Ivory Coast v Nigeria today. Meite looked a totally different player to what we,ve seen this season.

I reckon they would accept £3m considering he is unhappy and wants first team football.
Would be a good replacement for Jussi if it is true he is off for free in the summer.

They only got him for abot 2m fromleads so they will still make a profit.

As for the Ahletico game did anyone see them against Real Madrid on Sunday? Awsome!!!!

Chris, in all fairness his confidence has been shattered. He has had a make shift defence in front of him at Spuds and had a useless England team that still failed to qualify when he was not playing. He is young and with our sort goal keeping coaches and players he would get back to his best.
I don’t think he has ever been happy in the Big Smoke! The players at Spuds think they are all Celebs where as Robinson appears to be a bit of a recluse.

We have a history of resurrecting careers and I think this could be just the player to replace our Jussi when he goes.

Who else are we going to get?

Chris Manning, Gotham City PD, says...

We don't need to 'get' anyone.

Habsi deserves his chance for being so patient.

As for the 'crappy defence' excuse - the defenders aren't the ones forcing the keeper into basic mistakes.

We have more than one pie-muncher on the books already, do we need another fatty?

Its not a disgrace if its not full for Madrid its a reflection on the attitude shown by the club to cup competitions in recent years. The discount has become almost irrelevent, its the effort of getting across Bolton to then be let down, people are fed up of the dreadful product on offer and will choose to watch it on tv for free. If the manager and the club want to preserve Premiership status at the expense of the cups then fair enough but that will be reflected in cup attendances.

A UEFA cup game against Real Madrid, £5 for season ticket holders AND they can buy one extra ticket for £5 so if you aren't a season ticket holder but know one you can get in for a fiver still.

But even £10 ain't bad.

Everton charge £30 for their UEFA cup games and still fill the place.

SADLY OUR PLAYERS CANT HEAR YOU CHANTING SWEARING AND CREATING A WONDERFUL ATMOSPHERE IN A PUB 5 MILES FROM THE GROUND THEY NEED YOU AND ALL THE OTHER STAYAWAYS TO GET YOUR BACKSIDES DOWN TO THE REEBOK AND BEFORE YOU TELL ME HOW EXPENSIVE IT IS I ALREADY KNOW, BUT IT DOES NOT STOP YOU AND MANY MORE FINDING 500 QUID OR SO TO GO TO MUNICH,MADRID ECT
SO EITHER SUPPORT YOUR TEAM OR GET BACK TO YOUR MASTER AND DO THE WASHING UP FANS LIKE YOU WE DONT NEED

this is the time to get behind the club. It's very easy to support the team when things are going well. the true test of a real supporter is to get behind them when things are bad.

what does supporting them when we where in four division mean now? i'll tell you, absolutely nothing!

BWFC NEEDS YOU NOW!

IF WE HAD A FULL HOUSE EVER MATCH FROM NOW WE WOULD MOVE UP THE TABLE RAPIDLY.

WE NEED THE SPIRIT THAT WAS SHOWN THE NIGHT WE BEAT WOLVES IN THE PLAY OFFS AT BURNDEN.

Great shout from Andy Walker , I remember watching "Andy Walker " making his comeback in the reserves after his bad knee injury, about 12,000 fans just to watch him in the reserves, great stuff if you ask me, so like Andy said: get down to the Reebok and cheer on the lads, European football at the Reebok and it does NOT matter which team Megson picks .... support your club.

P.S: Nearly choked on my apple reading BWFC_TIL_I_DIE's comment about respecting members of the community

I'm afraid that Jussi is going to spain or italy for free at the end of the season. He will earn 50% more than we can offer and I don't blame him. He's been a great servant to the club and we should have settled his contract 12 months ago.

It's too late now as BWFC are not going to offer a lot in case we go down. We should thank him for his work because he asked for what he was worth and we said no.
