BADMINTON: With only a handful of fixtures left to play this season in the Bolton League, two of the divisional titles look a certainty.
No team is now likely to catch Markland Hill A and prevent them retaining the league championship they have held for the past few years.
Forrest A were their latest 14-4 victims and, with only two matches left for them, even what is likely to be a tough clash against rivals ABC next week should not prevent them from winning the A Section trophy.
For the first time, the club's B team could become runners-up. They are on equal points with Bury A, but Bury have more aces.
Park's purple patch at the top of B Section has come to an end with Forrest B now teeing up to collect the divisional cup and return to A Section next season after beating Park 11-7.
Markland Hill D will probably join them after boosting their hopes with a 12-6 win over Sharples A.
