Megson is trying to reduce the age of his squad which is why Campo , Stelios and Jussi will all leave this summer . The signing of Zoltan Gera from WBA is nailed on and will provide some midfield guile which we have missed this year . Fabrice Muamba from Birmingham is another probable signing as a replacement for Campo but this will hinge on Birmingham getting relegated.

It is fair to say that their wil be plenty of comings and goings this summer - should be very , very interesting !

One of the major advantages of having players like Nicolas Anelka and Diouf in your squad is the fact that it helps bring in big names! But the problem with Bolton is we havent got any real big named foriegn players in our team any more (Diouf, Anelka, Stelios all leaving/left) and not to forget we are sitting near the bottom of the premier league so our international status is becoming smaller and smaller! Not to state the obvious but this is going be a major disadvantage when it to competing to sign big names!

We are just simply going to have to get used to lower profiled players than we have bought in the last few seasons and this will proven in this transfer window! Alot more places for example Italy are going to be more luxurious to a top named player than a club that looks from an (international point of view) to be on a downward spiral out of the top english league!

Megsons signing have been good. That is the one positive about his reign at Bolton. Gera is a top player and better than Taylor, Sunderland are keen on him and i would cut my losses now we may break even on him. If we are going to have Davies as the target man, the left and right forwards have both got to bring 10-15 goals each. Going for James Macfadden if Birmingham drop would be ideal. I would also get Ebanks-Blake, 6 months ago he was happy at Plymouth, im sure he would happy as an impact player from the bench in the premiership. I wanted him in January when he was 700k but now he is the leading scorer in the championship, he may be about 2 million.

Zoltan Gera is quality, how do you know he might be coming Gareth? Not being funny but why would he want to leave WBA to come to us at the moment?

Give the fans something to look forward to next season lets face it the prospect of Megson in charge is not a POSITIVE. The lad Gomis will be one of many linked to our club during the season ticket selling. Disagree, I'm comparing Gera and Koumas with our pedestrian/untalente
d midfield and they are far better. Both can shoot, take free kicks, pass accurately, dribble and every time I see them play for club or country they look quality. I'm not saying Champions League quality, I am saying they are far better than we are forced to watch every week.

There have been many ups and downs since My Father first took me to Burnden Park, but never before have I felt that I am becomming isolated from my club. We,ve gone down many times in the past, but never have I felt like this season when there were times I wanted them to get relegated, just to see the back of Gartside and Megson.
I cant honestly say I'm looking forward to next season, which is why I will give it a miss. But you never know. Start playing decent football, give the Cups a chance, I might be back with thousands of others.

Charlie, I dont think a lot of fans will need convincing NOT to go to the Reebok.
2 years ago we sold nearly 19000 tickets, next season it will be under 10000.
I'm not miserable, sad about the way things are going, but Ive always got my armchair, my own beer and that livefooty free site to watch them on.

For me, we have stayed in the PL IN SPITE of the mistakes the club has made so I'm prepared to allow them to absolve themselves and see which new players are brought in. People keep talking about BWFC as if it were a Christian church that had just been taken over by a Muslim cleric.

We're still Bolton, we're still at the Reebok and next seaosn we have yet another glorious chance of doing as much good stuff as we do bad. That's still a thrill for me.

The problem is that it is hard just to stand back and ignore the situation in respect of the manager and the club. Its like letting Gary Glitter befriend your kids and allowing it happen it’s just hard to stand by and see what a mess will be made by two idiots. Maybe Gartside is the less of the two as he cannot directly affect the dealing with the players and systems imposed. The main problem with Megson is that when he played he would run for 90 minutes and had no class just a work horse and he does not understand the workings of the elite players and cannot comprehend why they have so much time on the ball without putting the effort in so he builds his side round the players he understands, the type of player who runs and runs yet maybe not be able to pass the ball or run with ball i.e. Gavin McCann, Cohen and the like. In so doing he does not have room for the better quality player who does not put the miles in because they have natural talent and don't need to so his sides are predominately boring and will never progress because he has no room for the match winners. Just look at the chances we have created in each game since his arrival the lowest ever in some games we have not even had two chances. That is why we will find it hard as long as he is in charge of our team and that is why we have not seen stelios on the park and diouf has had enough.

whats with all the pessimism recently, we stay up and people are treating it like doomsday, we dont know who megson has targeted or how next year will pan out, as for falling attendances aside from those who genuinly cant afford a season ticket i say good bye to all those fans who are leaving, what reason could they possibly have for abandoning their team when they should be getting behind them, support the team not the management.

on saturday i saw rasiak warming up on the sidelines and then the worst a coach came onto the touchline and waved for him to come over and my heart stopped as i knew at only 1-0 we wudnt want him coming on but the substitution never came which i was and still am ecstatic about....
i have later been told that the reason rasiak was called over was not for a sub but apparently new fa rules state that no more than three players can warm up at once (meite, cohen and stelios were already there) and i thought that this would immensely cheer you guys up

Gomis wants to play in Serie A. So I would let him, no use flogging a dead horse and like I say, we need players who actually want to play for us.

If they paid me next season with Megson in charge I would not turn up and that is from a season ticket holder of 32 Years who also buys season tickets for work purposes. It is not money it is principle why should we have coco the clown running the club when we have a wide and various choice of more capable managers around. Again it all boils down to Lisbon not only the team selection but the 50 meter sprint to get down the tunnel by the ginger numpty. If you wish to stand by the actions of our chairman who not but twice put us in danger of loosing all that we have built by appointing two managers on the cheep, the first was a mistake and was forgivable the second was unprofessional and inept. We have only stayed up by a lot of luck rather than good management. Once Megson has departed then I will renew my season ticket however, that is my choice. It is all very well and good saying support the team well I think 32 years of going home and away in all the divisions may not count for you however, once you have reached that milestone then you can comment on how to support your team.

when i go to the reebok i go to support my team, not the clubs management or chairman, or owner. Ive been going close on 25 years now, and was in lisbon on the very night in question, i was there to support my team.
I'm not impressed with the way the clubs being run or managed at present but it was a s**te sight worse stood watching the whites at burnden against Newport county and Torquay.
Managers come and go,
Chairmen come and go.
Owners come and go,
But the club is bigger and better than any of them.

I agree with that but i can see why some fans have got disolusioned by whats gone on in the last year and you could say have lost a bit of heart in the club but when it all kicks off again maybe things will have changed and people will be back.

I fully understand that lots of fans are unhappy with the clubs hierarchy at the moment, Idiots like Gartside, Megson and Davies will come and go, if people want to stay away whilst they are still here thats upto them,
but i believe the clubs pricing policy has a greater bearing on fans going to the Reebok. Everytime the club reduces prices for league games then more people turn up, regardless of Megson, or Gartsides inept management.

Of course the (ever decreasing) hard core fans will be there next season, but don't you think they deserve better than the dismal crap that has been served up to them both on and off the field this season? Just because they are faithful to the club, why should the club take them for granted and insult them the way they have done so recently in the many ways already stated by previous posters? If you are willing to pay out and be satisfied, the likes of Gartside will only be too happy to let you. Do you really want to watch the type of football dosed out by Megson week after week after week and be in the same position at the end of next season? The only thing those in charge know are £ signs, so the only way to show your displeasure at the current state of affairs at BWFC is to hold back on buying a season ticket until the Numpty is sacked. not buying a season ticket will also affect the team aswell and it wont force megson out either the only way that will happen is if the players fall out with him and that will only happen if we have a bad start to the season. as for the style of football its nothing different that what allardyce used to play other than our ageing players were younger. to summarise wait and see what megson does and support the players if nothing else

i am dead against Gartside and Megson etc, and i agree that next year will prob be a struggle...
but i love watching Bolton and supporting the team, Call me daft if you want but it really doesn't matter if Mugabe, Bin Laden or whoever is in charge i would still go and support my club..

Nolan is the biggest ar5e licker in the clubs history but davies was a surprise.
As for sammy lee it was nolan and speed who started the bust up because they was dropped more speed and look where he is now.

We have never been popular since 1958 when the world outside of Bolton wanted Man. U to win the FA Cup,but we were always respected.This season the actions of these three men have lost our beloved club that respect. They can not be permitted to continue to drag the name of BWFC through the mud in this way. By the way, the lad in the video is a schoolteacher and appears to be decent fella. The words above are a joke and he and I have shared a few of them since the protest...that's because even though he looks like some wicked and cruel experiment by God himself, he does have a sense of humour and knows when someone is winding him up.

yes i am aware you have a sense of humour breeze, anyway is he still doing the protests and was he the guy that had the website! sometimes people get pushed into the limelight and dont want to be there, i saw his interview and he wasnt really prepared at least they tried breeze, and all this seemed to have some effect, i thought the whole atmosphere has been better all round since, maybe i forgot about the apology, but i'm just a bit miffed about being told i want my team relegated, no hard feelings then, perhaps its best if we avoid commenting on each others comments, as i suspect we will always have to agree to differ.

I do not think that Megson is an ideal manager and I do think that especially over Lisbon he made mistakes but Bolton is my club not Megson.
The reason I say people are whinging is because whenever a new post comes on the site it ends up with the same comments.
Sorry if it offends you but I am absolutely chuffed we are still in the premier if not next year worry about it then.

charlie i am overjoyed we are still in the premiership because the sinking feelin was unbearable after arsenal and villa, i was virtually last out against sunderland, didnt want to go home, please dont mistake being unhappy with the manager as not wanting success, i liked phil neal for instance, i thought he got a rotten deal, he wanted to buy lee at the time but later allowed rioch to do so, if i had got my way we'd have kept neal, would we be were we are now who knows! its opinions
