Cross Cup king Khan

BAZID Khan did the damage against his former club and Cross Cup champions Standish to knock them out in the first round on Sunday.
The brilliant Pakistani all-rounder was the key player in the Wigan side's success last season, but he showed no mercy when another top display for his new club Spring View saw them home by two wickets.
Khan, who recently represented his country in two one-day internationals against Bangladesh, is one of four players, including captain Nigel Geary, who made the switch from Standish to Spring View over the winter.
Standish scored 146-9 with Tony Kelly top scorer on 67 before he was run out as Khan took 3-43.
In reply, Spring View overhauled the target with two wickets to spare as Khan top scored with 43 as Dave Bowden and A Dunn each took four wickets.
Joey Pryle's 59 was instrumental in Blackrod's six-wicket win over A&T, who had made 156-9 with Mohammed Ashraf doing the damage with 4-21.
Atherton's Paul Keenan hit a superb 93 and had good support from Clinton Peake with 42 and Phil West, 40 not out, as they beat Walshaw by four wickets.
Earlier, the visitors had mustered a respectable 207-9 with Rob Faulkner 66 and Danny Mills 52.
Adlington's successive league triumphs could not be repeated in the cup against Golborne, where they were dismissed for a paltry 56 with Kiwi pro Mike Taiaroa taking 5-13 and Dale Tyrer 3-16.
Earlier, Golborne reached 170-8 with 78 from Rob Turnbull at the heart of the innings.
Association champions Edgworth showed new boys Flixton little mercy as tthey won by 124 runs. Edgworth piled up 312-6 with Tom Liversedge 67, Guy Haynes 65 and Nigel Barlow unbeaten on 60. In reply, Flixton were dismissed for 188 despite resistance of 51 from Nick Moores and 48 not out from Rob Clews.
Neil Jarvis grabbed 6-26 as Elton were dimissed for 157, a target Little Hulton passed with ease for the loss of just three wickets with Shahid Yousef hitting an unbeaten 83.
