WANDERERS look likely to lose out on transfer target Zoltan Gera, with the West Brom midfielder in search of European football.
The 29-year-old Hungarian, who was brought to English football by Gary Megson, is weighing up his options with his contract due for expiry in the summer.
Though Bolton have been linked continuously with his name since Megson's arrival at the Reebok, Everton and Benfica have risen to the fore as more likely destinations after the West Brom playmaker admitted he is seeking European competition next season.
He recently gained promotion with the Baggies, but seems destined to move away from the Hawthorns after apparent interest from managerless Benfica.
"I am aware of Benfica's offer," Gera said.
"My agent told me about it and I can only be glad. They are a great club, used to playing in the Champions League play and have some great players. I can only say good things."
But the midfielder said he was in no rush to decide his future.
"I have other offers and I will wait for the best deal. I do not close the door on anyone," he said. "I will study all the offers and then I will choose the most interesting one. I have offers from other big clubs, England mostly."
