Wanderers in Bullard link

WANDERERS could be set to offer Fulham midfielder Jimmy Bullard a return to the North-west.

The former Wigan Athletic ace, who returned from injury to play a key role in Fulham's amazing escape from relegation last season, is reportedly available for a £3million move away from Craven Cottage.

And that might alert Bolton boss Gary Megson, who is known to be keen to strengthen his midfield options for next season.

West Ham and Aston Villa have also being linked with the 29-year-old, but Bullard could favour a return to the North-west - pitching Wanderers in direct competition with Wigan.

Meanwhile, Bolton are believed to have had a £1.5m bid for Spanish striker Riki rejected by Deportivo La Coruna.

The Spanish club paid Getafe £3.5m for the 27-year-old two years ago, and are not prepared to let him go for less money than they paid.

Further speculation has Wanderers linked with Ecuador striker Carlos Tenorio, who is currently plying his trade in Qatar.

The 29-year-old, who is interesting several top-flight clubs, said: "I know that there is interest from several English teams in me because they have heard that I have scored more than 100 goals in Qatar.

"But I have to wait for what the officials of my team decide because they have told me that they want to renew my contract.

"I am waiting for a team to make an offer to Al Saad and if it's important for them and for me I would like to have the chance to live a new experience."

Another player being linked with a move to the Reebok is Newcastle's out-of-contract right-back Stephen Carr, possibly freeing up Nicky Hunt for a reunion with former Wanderers assistant manager Phil Brown at Hull City.
