Time is right, admits Elmander

JOHAN Elmander believes this is the perfect time for him to make an impact on the Premier League.

The Sweden international signed a three-year deal on Friday to become the most expensive signing in Wanderers' history.

And the striker has promised to reward the club's investment with goals, after a move he described as a "dream come true". "I am a player who will always fight for 90 minutes," he said.

"I always give my best and always play for the team. I think it will take me a bit of time to come into the team but when I do I will do my best and score many goals for them."

Gary Megson had chased the 27-year-old's signature since January and was initially quoted £21million by his club, Toulouse.

When the French club dropped their asking price, Elmander was delighted that the Wanderers boss re-ignited his interest.

"The first time I heard about Bolton being interested in me was in January. They really wanted to buy me and I was very flattered about that," he said. "It was a few weeks ago when I was talking to my agent that he again mentioned Bolton were interested and I felt a good feeling in my body right away.

"It's difficult to explain but it's just a feeling you have when something feels right and then I also met Gary and there was more positive energy coming to me."
