Wanderers have launched a new home kit, but it has had a very mixed response from fans, judging by emails we have received.
Here is what they are saying about the kit, modelled by defender Gary Cahiill:
SHIRT is awful. Too fussy & way too much blue. Makes us look like a conference oufit with a kit off the market!
Is there a plan B? Good to get the blue shorts back though.
Chris Muston Season Ticket Holder East Lower.
BOLTON fans will always find something to be unhappy about. . .
As for the guy who won't be renewing his season ticket because of a shirt - he's better off staying away.
Stuart McCormack.
THE return to the blue shorts is welcome but the shirt is truly awful. Cahill looks as though he is wearing a bra or some kind of halter and looks uncomfortable as well he might.
Mike Trethewey.
I LOVE the return to navy shorts, well done Wanderers for doing that. All white has now been an unlucky kit twice and should never be considered again. The new shirt though is horrible, and even worse it makes the wearer look narrow shouldered - if Gary Cahill looks like Rodney Trotter wearing it surely this will have a psychological benefit to our opponents?
Mike Gething.
THE new Wanderers kit is just another way of making money out of the fans. It's very good of the club to sell junior season tickets at £49 each then charge £40 for a shirt! There aren't too many children that won't need an adult shirt considering the sizing policy.
I hope that Wanderers will honour their Customer Charter' which stated (before it was conveniently removed from their Web page) that unless the main shirt sponsor was changed that the first team shirt would be in use for two years.
Reebok is still Reebok no matter how you write it. Therefore the main shirt sponsor has not changed, so why have they brought out a new shirt after only 12 months.
Disheartened (and broke) Wanderers Fan.
I've been watching Wanderers since 1976. I have held a season ticket in the West Stand Upper Tier.
I wasn't going to renew my season ticket but with recent signings and more to come I was just begining to change my mind.
Now my mind is made up.
The new "sports bra" kit is ugly and I will not be renewing my ticket.
Gary Walls.
I don't like the new Bolton top it looks like a training top with far to much blue. The blue looks like it is a bib, my two boys agree but it won't stop them wanting one. Glad to see we have gone back to blue shorts - great idea.
Mark Dalton.
Great news that Bolton Wanderers are going back to there traditional navy blue shorts, those white shorts, should never have been allowed in the first place. I will now purchase a pair, and proudly wear them.
Andrew Dunning.
I can see the straps but what does the back-pack itself look like? Another shirt I will not be buying.
Andy, Staffordshire.
What a terrible new shirt. It looks like we are wearing shoulder pads. Good move to go back to the original shorts colour but get rid of the shirt now. I have bought a replica shirt for more years than I can remember but I can say my money will be staying in the bank this time.
Ian Yates.
WE buy the home shirt every year but the new one looks awful and we will not be purchasing it this year. Whoever designed it has made a big mistake.
Conway family.
DON'T like it! It reminds me of a training top.
Good to see blue shorts back though.
Andy .
AWFUL shirt - blue looks like some kind of "restraint". I'll not be buying one.
Will Salt.
FULL credit on a return to the blue shorts.
Strange move to make us look like we're wearing brassieres though.
I mean, we might be, just not over our footy shirts.
Peter Cooper.
It must be the worst that they have had so far.
Peter Sharples.
