Guthrie signs for Newcastle

Danny Guthrie last night signed a four-year contract with Newcastle.
The midfielder, who impressed in a season-long loan at Wanderers last season, joined the Geordies from Liverpool for an undisclosed fee.
Newcastle boss Kevin Keegan said: "He proved himself in the Premier League last season so we know he can play at that level. He's at the right age."
