ATHERTON Collieries have a chance to avenge their weekend FA Cup defeat at the hands of Bacup Borough on Wednesday.
The teams meet for the second time in five days, this time on Boro’s turf with the men from Alder House looking to make up for the disappointment of crashing out of the cup to their Vodkat NW Counties Premier Division rivals.
Player-manager, Dave Conlon, has drafted in two players, striker Alex Dunne and winger Ryan Sutcliffe, from the reserves who have had an impressive start to the season.
