LR still missing hit-man Crompton

CHORLEY spies are expected at Crilly Park on Saturday when Atherton LR take on New Mills in the Vodkat NW Counties Premier League (kick-off 3pm).
Rovers meet the UniBond League club in the FA Cup Preliminary Round at Victory Park next Saturday and expect a scouting contingent to be running the rule over Dave Hughes’s team.
But they will not see them at full strength with Hughes again without striker Paul, Crompton.
LR have high hopes that Crompton’s partnership with Phil Howard will be a profitable one, but Crompton is on holiday and was missed when a lack of cutting edge was largely to blame for a midweek defeat at home to Squires Gate.
