WANDERERS have rejected a £1million bid for goalkeeper Ali Al Habsi from Blackburn.
Rovers swooped for the Oman shot-stopper yesterday as they looked to secure cover for first-choice keeper Paul Robinson.
But Bolton’s Premier League rivals were told Al Habsi is not for sale.
“There was a polite conversation between (Whites chairman) Phil Gartside and Rovers chairman John Williams but that’s as far as it went,” said Bolton manager Gary Megson.
“They asked if he was for sale and we said that he wasn’t.”
Al Habsi, who was on the substitutes’ bench for last night’s embarrassing Carling Cup exit at the hands of lowly Northampton, has just one-year left on his current contract.
But the 26-year-old keeper has no plans to sign a new deal at the Reebok, and intends to walk away for nothing at the end of the season.
