BOLTON School boy Thomas Fletcher, pictured above, has been called into the Great Britain Under-17s fencing team.
The Year 11 pupil joins a squad of 16 which is due to take part in the Halle Cadet International Foil Competition in Germany on October 25 and 26.
It is his second time in the squad, his previous experience coming two years ago when he competed in Paris.
Thomas, who is ranked 14th U17 in Britain and is in the top 100 fencers aged 20 and under in the country, has been fencing for four years.
He trains twice a week at Bolton Fencing Club and in Sheffield once a week.
