LEIGH Genesis will have three new faces in their squad for the tough clash with Cammell Laird at Radcliffe Borough tomorrow.
Manager Lee Merricks has had a busy week and brought in a goalkeeper, midfielder and defender.
Aaron Ratchford started the season with UniBond Division One side Salford City and played against Genesis in pre-season. Fellow keeper Lee Dittmer has been released.
Merricks is also excited about his latest recruit, 19-year-old full-back Khris King from Halifax Town, who he described as a “player with great ability who will strengthen our defence”, while the manager is also working hard on finalising a couple of loan deals.
He has further bolstered his midfield by signing 20-year-old Nick Linford who has had spells with Witton Albion and Warrington Town already this season.
FC United will have 29-year-old Tristram Whitman in their squad for tomorrow’s trip to struggling Boston United after the winger signed on loan from Eastwood Town.
Manager Karl Marginson said: “We are glad to have Tristram on board, especially with the busy run of games heading our way. It is great to have his experience in the squad, especially his experience within this league and I hope he enjoys his time with us.”
Chris Baguley will take a break from the Rebels and travel to Cyprus to continue his playing career overseas, while defender Liam Foster will join Salford City as a short term measure to aid his return to full fitness.
