Megson swoops for Sam Ricketts

WANDERERS are believed to have signed Hull defender Sam Ricketts.
Manager Gary Megson has beaten off competition from Portsmouth to land the Welsh international.
The 27-year-old underwent a medical at the Reebok and, barring any last-minute hitches, Bolton were due to announce their new arrival.
Ricketts, who has played 34 times for his country, looked set to join Pompey after snubbing a new contract at the KC Stadium - but the delay in Sulaiman Al-Fahim’s takeover at Fratton Park has allowed Megson to hijack the move.
