A YOUNG Wanderers reserve side suffered their fourth, and by far heaviest, defeat of the season in the Barclays Premier Reserve League North last night.
Danny Ward got the Whites off to the perfect start when he put them ahead by firing a 22-yard free kick into the top corner.
Sunderland hit back to take a 2-1 half-time lead and scored three more without reply in the second half with Roy O’Donovan finishing with a hat-trick.
The defeat was Wanderers’ second in succession after three straight wins.
