ELITE LEAGUE ICE HOCKEY: Three names are in the running for the Elite League’s Entertainer of the Year award. Ice hockey supporters from across the UK have been voting on the official league website and the eight names have been shortlisted to three.

Bruce Richardson (Nottingham Panthers) is in his second season playing in the UK and won his first trophy this month as the Panthers beat Cardiff Devils to win the Challenge Cup. His no-nonsense attitude has won the hearts of the Panthers supporters and the French-Canadian has scored some vital goals this season.

Jason Robinson (Coventry Blaze) has been a huge hit at the Skydome since his return to the UK. The defenceman is part of a Blaze side which is on the verge of winning their fourth league title in seven years. Robinson is not afraid to drop the gloves with some of the toughest players in the league.

Mike Sgroi (Sheffield Steelers) has only been in the Elite League a couple of months but has already become a huge favourite in the Steel City. Sgroi's arrival has coincided with a turnaround in Sheffield's fortunes and he has proved he can score big goals, as well as drop the gloves with the toughest in the league.

Tickets are still available for the Elite League’s awards night and cost £45 or £450 for a table of ten and the price includes a 4-course meal with wine on the table. Dress code is lounge suits with black tie optional.

The dinner takes place at the Belfry Hotel in Nottingham on Friday 2nd April ahead of the play-off finals weekend at the National Ice Centre.

Tickets can be purchased via the Elite League website at www.eliteleague.co.uk
