YOUNG goalkeeper Adam Bogdan says he’s up to the job – despite shipping four goals on his Premier League debut.

The Hungarian impressed at Arsenal despite 10-man Wanderers going down 4-1 at the Emirates.

There was little he could do with any of the goals as the Gunners ran riot following Gary Cahill’s sending off.

Bogdan – deputising for the suspended Jussi Jaaskelainen – produced one world-class save to deny Marouane Chamakh.

And the 22-year-old shot-stopper is confident his performance proved he has a bright future at the Reebok.

“I now have the belief that I can play at this level and, with a lot of hard work and concentration, I can be on the same pitch with all these wonderful players,” he said. “I have to learn from this game and this experience will make me stronger.

“I think we did well but we were unfortunate with the goals that we conceded because we were in the game for a long period.

“But I don’t think I could have asked for a nicer place to my first league start and the only thing that would have been better is if we had won the game.

“I tried to do my best and keep the goals out because that is what I have to do. I had a decent game but you can never be happy when you concede four goals and lose the game.”

Danny Ward believes his loan spell at Coventry will make him a better player.

The 18-year-old striker created a goal on his debut in the Championship club’s 1-1 draw with Leicester City at the weekend.

And Ward, on loan until January, is hoping to make an impact at the Ricoh Arena.

“The Championship is going to be quicker and I will need to be sharp,” he said. “All the players are going to be bigger and stronger and I am here to get games for the first team.

“I want to keep playing in the first team for Coventry, then push into the Bolton team and then in a couple of years push into the England team.

“This is a stepping stone of progression into the Premier League.

“I finished last season on loan at Swindon and that was a progression to the Championship.”

Wanderers reserves travel to Sunderland on Tuesday night looking for their first league win of the season.
