Wanderers should learn today whether Crystal Palace are to accept their £5million bid for teenage whiz kid Wilfried Zaha.

Owen Coyle wants to snatch the highly-rated winger from under the noses of Newcastle United and Stoke City, who both planned to wait until the summer to make their move.

Zaha has attracted a string of admirers with his performances in the Championship this season and only signed a new five-year deal at Selhurst Park in December.

The 19-year-old has scored five times this season and played a starring role in the Eagles’ run towards the semi-final of the Carling Cup.

And Coyle is planning to use most of the funds gained from the sale of Gary Cahill on a player he believes could be a big part of the club’s future.

“I think there are players out there, and Zaha is certainly one of them, that I think would enhance our club for years to come on a permanent basis, and there are one or two on a loan capacity I’d love to bring in before the deadline on Tuesday,” he said.

“If it transpires then great, but it won’t stop me targeting good, young players to bring to this football club that I think I can develop and make better, and that's what I’m trying to do.”

Coyle is also waiting to hear whether Arsenal will send out Japanese youngster Ryo Miyaichi on loan for the rest of the season.

The winger impressed against Wanderers in the Carling Cup and could give them options across the front line.

An offer is still on the table for Argentine prospect Juan Manuel Iturbe from FC Porto but it is likely that, with the Portuguese club dragging their heels on the deal, Miyaichi could be recruited instead before tomorrow night’s 11pm deadline.

French striker Sebastien Le Toux is also an option, with his club Philadelphia Union ready to sell for a fair price.
