Darren Pratley could be out for up to six weeks with the injury which forced him off in last night's FA Cup defeat at Spurs.
Wanderers are hoping the problem, which resulted in a large gash down the inside of his thigh, will result in him being sidelined for between 10 days and two weeks, but Whites boss Owen Coyle admitted: "The worst case scenario is that it could be four to six weeks."
Coyle saw his side go down 3-1 in a game which Spurs dominated without being able to find a way past man-of-the-match Adam Bogdan until the 76th minute.
Paying tribute to his keeper, Coyle said: "Our young keeper again showed his class. Adam was outstanding. But we are very fortunate in that we have two terrific keepers at the club."
Coyle said of his side's performance: "We can't argue Spurs were the better side. My players showed their spirit and they kept going because they are very much a group, although we could have passed the ball better."
