MATCHDAY LIVE: Wanderers 3 Bristol City 2
This live event has finished
Will be posting a match report online as soon as I catch my breath, but otherwise, thanks for getting involved. It's been emotional.
That's it.... a quite ridiculous victory!
Baldock smashes a shot well wide, which takes us into added, added time...
@MarcIles I can't remember a time at least not since I've been following them.— @1morequietnight 20 October 2012
I'll be crunching the numbers later on...
@MarcIles Reading Wembley May 29th 1995??? Surely can't be!! Can it???— @Nickytam78 20 October 2012
Three mins added time...
A minute to go... what a win this would be. As I type that, Stephen Pearson pokes one wide at the far post after Taylor's knockdown.... good grief.
@MarcIles we're going to win 4-2 though— @rosskeat 20 October 2012
@OfficialBWFC @MarcIles about time we showed fight,bottle and spirit,long overdue!!— @AndyParkes2 20 October 2012
@MarcIles stop counting them chickens Iles!!! Singing fat lady and all that— @warby78 20 October 2012
Carey finally booked.
Bit of a scrap in the bottom corner near the away fans. Lots of stewards in there.
@MarcIles It was Saturday the 43rd of Julembre— @stebbory 20 October 2012
Pratley coming on for Petrov
Bristol City throwing on striker Bret Pitman now for Woolford.
Stunning stuff. SKD had kept pressure on by nicking ball from Carey - Mark Davies, then Chungy combined well and Petrov burst through the middle to side-foot neatly past Heaton.
Or lose it, and ruin all their hard work...
10 minutes to go. Can Wanderers get a winner?
Chungy on for Afobe
Davies, Eagles and Afobe play some neat stuff inside pen area - Afobe hits shot on the turn, gathered well by Heaton.
Petrov running on fumes at the minute.
Rash challenge by Warnock on sub Taylor gives City a chance here. Free kick 25 yards out.
Eagles bends one in, goes over everyone and misses far post by a whisker.
Carey should be getting booked for persistent fouling. Another on Kevin Davies. Decent chance to whip a free kick in.
Fine effort from Petrov 30yds out - tipped over bar by Heaton.
I'll give Jimmy Phillips his due. That half time team-talk must have been a belter...
Afobe has gone wide left, with Eagles playing just behind SKD.
Might need a change to freshen things up, though. Reckon Ngog or Chungy would do the trick.
22 minutes to go. Wanderers have had 15 shots to City's 4.
Qualify that - I'll see later on if he should have come out quicker to close down the cross for the first goal...
Another great run on the overlap from Mears. Has been very good today.
@MarcIles Any chance you could slow down your updates? You're ruining my 'live' commentary on Wanderers Player. ;-)— @Jono_Higham 20 October 2012
Crowd roaring Wanderers on with every touch now. When was the last time they came from two down to win a game??
City hanging on for their lives here. Heaton forced into another save from Kevin Davies.
Told you so! Great run through the middle by Spearing, picked out by a clever pass by Kevin Davies. Neat finish!
This is there for the taking if Wanderers want it.
Adomah gets better of Warnock and his cross was heading towards Woolford until Mears got a slight touch. Lucky escape there.
Wanderers have got to score when they are this dominant.
Mark Davies heads into the danger zone, and all Afobe need do was get a telling touch from five yards out. He didn't.
Spearing crashes a shot in from 25 yards. Heaton equal to it.
Wide open here. Mistake from Mills almost lets Davies in again.
Heaton beats away Petrov's half volley at the far post after Mears and Eagles combined to cross from the right.
Mark Davies slices a shot just wide after some great football down the left. Low cross from Petrov picked out of the midfielder on the pen spot, but his effort just curled away with Heaton beaten.
Eagles tries his luck from distance - as well he might - but his effort goes wide. Has been much more involved in the last 20 minutes before the break. Wanderers need him to be.
Back off again at the Reebok. Better defending this half, please!
....And there was none...
@marciles Important questions: Would Bolton do better with 5 in midfield and 1 up front? And what flavour soup did you have? #bnmatchdaylive— @SteveThompson80 20 October 2012
Half time. And a quick introduction to Championship management for Jimmy Phillips. Referee Mark Brown getting booed as he heads down the tunnel... and should have given a penalty against Skuse for that rugby tackle on Afobe.
But Wanderers are always their own worst enemy... and the defending hasn't been good. At all.
Phil Gartside interview will be aired again on BBC radio Manchester at half time. Tune in!
Two mins of added time, then I'm getting a soup...
Skuse just wrestled Afobe over in the penalty box. How was that not a pen??
Mears definitely getting forward more to overlap Eagles. Looks like the best route of attack so far.
Davies nearly crept round Mills - who hasn't been having the best game. If he'd got a cross in, then it would have been three.
Free kick in a wide position now. Wasted by Petrov.
Terrible challenge by Skuse on Mark Davies. Definitely deserved a yellow.
@MarcIles How much has the atmosphere inside the Reebok boosted by Eagles' goal? Do you sense a comeback on the cards?— @BWFC_Flakt 20 October 2012
Eagles and Mears are gelling a little better on the right too.
Better stuff from the Whites, acknowledged by the crowd. Fine ball from Mills to find Petrov on the left - but it comes to nothing.
Bristol City haven't kept a clean sheet all season, so Wanderers getting one was a bit inevitable. One for the Goals Galore coupon...
Volume has picked up considerably now.
He meant that! Hammered home right footed from 20yds out. Six goals for the season now for Eagles.
GOAL! Drilled in with aplomb by Eagles!
Nice turn by Eagles on the edge of the box. Trip by Carey, now a free kick in a decent position.
It's all oh so narrow again.
Think there have been some dodgy pens given against Wanderers this season but they can't have too many complaints with that one.

mg whites says
what the hell is going on! all week the talk is about defending and keeping a clean sheet and yet again we give another penalty away!!!
First shot of note for the Whites. Good ball by Warnock down left to Petrov, he hooked one in for Kevin Davies, whose shot on the turn cleared the bar.
@MarcIles Its beyond a joke!. another penalty against us..but Gartside must realise Coyle bought some poor players!— @pclangdon 20 October 2012
McManus booked for a challenge on Afobe.
Disaster for Jimmy Phillips and Wanderers so far...
Davies puts Bogdan wrong way from the spot to make it two.
Ream stretched into a tackle on Woolford.
Penalty to Bristol City.
Chris Eagles currently down afer a nasty clash with Skuse. Got a bang on the back of the head but looks OK.
Pace totally gone out of the game after that early goal, which will definitely suit City.
Whites trying to stick to plan and play the ball about, but not getting much joy so far.

we wish jp and the boys good luck for today and our money is on souness for the managers job.
City fans in fine voice now to my right. As well they might be. One attack, one goal!
Great finish from Davies, must be said, but would imagine more pressure needed to be put on the cross.
Shock start here. Really has taken the buzz out of the place.
GOAL! After just two minutes - Pearson crosses for Davies to hook in a fine volley. 1-0 Bristol City!
Players are out, good atmosphere around the ground. Return of the huddle too...
Can confirm that Jimmy Phillips is wearing a suit. Repeat, Jimmy Phillips is wearing a suit!!!
@MarcIles why hasn't Chungy started much this season?— @TheJoeStorey 20 October 2012
IMPORTANT RT @DavidLittlemore: @MarcIles what is JP wearing?— @mattielouwho 20 October 2012
@MarcIles how many Bristol fans?— @MinusNothing 20 October 2012
Lots asking about Zat Knight. No-one up here seems to know whether he's injured or not, but I'll be asking Jimmy/Sammy later on.... hopefully after a resounding win!
Fair play to 'Voice of the Reebok' Colin McGreavy for some good pre-match music today. Guns n Roses currently playing, but take my cap off to him for 'Jimmy, Jimmy' by the Undertones a few moments ago.
RT @MarcIles: Altogether.... Who needs Mourinho?...... We've got Jiminho!!!!— @thomasinaknits 20 October 2012
@MarcIles for the first time this season I don't have to ask u what's happening #RockTheReebok http://t.co/kGzRHwN4— @Graham_Down 20 October 2012
@MarcIles Quite positive about 2day good to c Jimmy confident to make changes Afobe Petrov and Ream shud play with extra step #coywm— @M_R_Stringer 20 October 2012
Will be great to have Stuart Holden here at the Reebok today after several months doing rehab in the US. Not sure whether Fab Muamba will be here... he should be fretting over his groom's speech as we speak.
@MarcIles aye, gonna need a big coffee mate! can't wait to get over to the Reebok later!!— @stuholden 20 October 2012
@MarcIles from what i saw today the guys look like the enjoying themselve again, and the changing room was buzzing for saturday game.— @fmuamba 18 October 2012

Cambridge White says
Where is Marvin Sordell?
Will ask later on. My own theory is that it's been a very tough week for him and they might have taken him out of the firing line.
Bristol City: Heaton, Baldock, Woolford, Pearson, S Davies, Adomah, Carey, Fontaine, Skuse, McManus, Foster
Subs: Gerken, Wilson, Bryan, Anderson, Morris, Taylor, Pitman
That means no place in the squad for Zat Knight, and that Keith Andrews and David Ngog have been dropped to the bench. Tim Ream, Martin Petrov and Benik Afobe come in.
BWFC subs: Lynch, Andrews, Ngog, Ricketts, Pratley, Riley, Chung-Yong
But back to the basics... and there's three changes to the Whites' line-up today: Bogdan, Mears, Mills, Ream, Warnock, Eagles, M Davies, Spearing, Petrov, K Davies, Afobe
I got the majority, and have put them together in a semi-article on The Bolton News website, but I gather they'll be playing it again at half-time, so make sure you have a listen!
Good afternoon all - anyone catch the chairman's comments on BBC Radio Manchester a few moments ago??
