EAGLEY stormed to a 4-0 victory over rivals Turton in the Under-16s Chairman’s Cup final at the Bolton and Bury Junior League cup final festival.
Jesse Thomas headed in Tyler Duffy’s corner on 13 minutes before Josh Livesey doubled the lead and Josh Cross made it three.
Gaz Roberts hit the bar and Nick Critchley pulled off superb saves to deny Cross and Tom Burke.
Turton’s Joe Luczka missed a penalty then Bradley Yates put the icing on the cake with a fourth.
In the U16s Players Cup final, Little Lever ground out a 2-1 win against Moorside Rangers.
Liam Drakely grabbed two goals for Little Lever before Moorside halved the deficit through Liam Rimmer.
Breightmet United twice came from behind to seal a 5-2 victory over Aspull Juniors in the U18s Chairman’s Cup.
Aiden McNamara scored first but a lapse in concentration allowed Aspull to regain the lead.
Breightmet stepped up a gear, scoring four goals in quick succession through McNamara, Lee Crompton and Osman Karakan (two).
Oxford Grove beat Newbury Tigers 3-1 in the U15s Players Cup.
Rehman Dean scored the opener for Oxford before Merveille Olongo, Brandon Cullen, two, wrapped up the win.
Deans Youth produced the shock of the weekend with a 2-1 victory over Bridge FC in the U15s Chairman’s Cup.
Sam Barnett and James Cropper struck early, but Bridge pulled one goal back after the interval.
Two goals from Colm Allsop and one each from Ross Dickinson and Jack Thompson gave Eagley a 4-1 victory over Swinton Jaguars in the U13s Players Cup.
Meanwhile, Connor Smith, Ben Keating and Philip Wallace were on target for Ladybridge Athletic in a 3-1 victory over Elton and Walshaw Lions in the U13s Chairman’s Cup.
Hindsford Youth beat Aspull Juniors 4-2 on penalties after the game ended 3-3 at the end of normal time to lift the U18s Players Cup.
Atherton Town Panthers beat Monton 5-4 in a shootout after their game ended level at 2-2, and Bury Juniors beat Atherton Town Wanderers 3-1 in the U14s Chairman’s Cup final.
