IT may be the season when Santa Claus comes to town but back in 1999, it was another Claus who came to Wanderers’ rescue in the shape of Danish midfielder Claus Jensen.
The Whites looked like ending the 20th century with a home defeat to West Brom in the First Division clash before Jensen popped up eight minutes from time to make it 1-1 and earn a point on December 28.
He would leave at the end of that season to join Charlton Athletic for £4million that one of his 10 goals for the Whites proved an important one.
