THE car park outside Burnden Park was a popular venue for youngsters when the snow started to come down in Bolton, with many a snowball fight staged there down the years.
Here we picture two local lads back in 1961 preparing to do battle after a spell of chilly weather.
That season saw a big gap between games at Burnden, with nothing staged at the ground between December 2 (a 1-1 draw with Blackburn) and January 20 (a 1-1 draw with Cardiff City).
