BOLTON boxer Haroon Khan will fight 20-year-old Bulgarian Stefan Slavchev when he makes his professional debut at Sheffield's Motorpoint Arena on the undercard of brother Amir's bout against Julio Diaz on April 27.

The 2010 Commonwealth Games bronze medalist is excited about the four-round super-flyweight contest after his opponent was revealed today as he looks to follow in his older sibling's footsteps to the top of the sport.

The 21-year-old said: "I'm pleased that my opponent has now been named - it means that I can start putting together a game plan to ensure my first outing is a successful one.

"He's got good experience boxing on these shores so I know I'll need to be at my very best."

As well as Amir and Haroon Khan, Blackrod welterweight is also on the bill in South Yorkshire.
