Amir Khan beat Devon Alexander to set up a potential super fight against Floyd Mayweather.
The Bolton superstar produced the performance of his career in the early hours of Sunday morning to destroy the American.
Khan showed impeccable footwork, speed and concentration to give Alexander no chance to get into the fight and take almost every round.
He can now look forward to a match-up with either pound-for-pound world number one Mayweather or the legendary Manny Pacquiao.
Khan dominated the welterweight battle from the start, taking six of the first seven rounds at least before Alexander edged the eighth.
The Bolton man then saw the fight out but still never let Alexander in with a composed and skilful performance.
The judges marked the fight 119-109, 118-110, 120-108 and Khan said straight afterwards: "It was one of my best performances because I wasn't rushing. I am best the best boxer and the quickest hands in the world.
"I had to be smart in there, not to get hit. I have the best jab in the business. Khan v Mayweather will be huge."
