AMIR Khan has extended his contract with giant sportswear firm Reebok.

The deal will equip Bolton's Commonwealth lightweight champion with its performance product range developed with feedback from Khan, to meet the specific demands of the modern boxer.

It will be available in-store from the summer and complement the lifestyle Reebok product line Khan will wear away from the gym.

Khan said: "I'm thrilled to have re-signed with Reebok. I love the brand and the people have been incredibly supportive to me throughout my professional career. It's been fantastic to be involved in the development of the product as well - a real collaboration."

Roy Gardner, vice president of Brand Marketing for Reebok EMEA, said: "We are extremely proud to announce the re-signing of Amir Khan as a Reebok icon, which builds on the relationship we have already enjoyed with him.

"Amir is more than just an outstanding sportsman. His recently opened Gloves Boxing and Fitness Community Centre in Bolton is a great example of him giving something back. He is a genuine inspiration to others."

Khan is waiting to see where and when his next fight will be after his impressive points win over the durable Australian based Guyanan Gairy St Clair on Saturday.

His promoter Frank Warren says Khan will either fight at Bolton Arena, on April 5, against European champion Yuri Romanov, from Belarus, or in Las Vegas later in the month. An announcement should be made this week.
