BOLTON-born boxers stole the show at Bury ABC’s show in Radcliffe on Sunday.
Haroon Khan and Sahir Iqbal were both in stunning form as they underlined their ability in front of a sell-out crowd.
Khan, watched by older brother Amir and his trainer Freddie Roach, stopped his opponent Bradley Watson (Guernsey ABC) in the second round after a powerful display of punching from the new junior ABA champion.
Farnworth teenager Iqbal, who picked up a gold medal at the Three Nations Championships in April, won an unanimous points decision against Mark Kelly (Clonoe).
Gloves fighter Ellis Waugh won a majority decision against Bernaldo Marine (Clonoe), while Anthony Grimshaw (Rumworth and Hulton) defeated Soheal Zasarn (Birmingham City) on points. Jack Rush (Bolton Lads and Girls Club) beat Bury’s Cornelius Knight on a majority decision. Jack Flatley and Jack Cullen (New Bury and Farnworth) were both beaten.
