BOXERS Liam Rowbotham and Sham Khan made it a double celebration after becoming North West Counties champions.
Bolton’s Positive Impact ABC duo were in superb form at Tonge Ward Labour Club on Ainsworth Road.
Rowbotham enjoyed a points victory against Castle Hill’s Ben Broadhurst, while Khan forced Kieran Briscoe, also from Castle Hill, to retire after the second round.
There was disappointment for Castle Hill twins Simon and Chris Jenkinson though.
Simon produced a terrific display but lost on points against Northside’s Mark Heffron, ranked number three at his weight in England, while Chris was edged out by Matthew Ryan (Middleton Select).
Club-mate Reza Ali beat Chorley’s Jack Catterall.
Positive Impact will hold a boxing show at Rumworth Hall on March 4.
