Haroon is out for revenge

Haroon Khan will fight for the North-west junior ABA title at Everton Park Leisure Centre, Liverpool on Saturday night.

The younger brother of Bolton star Amir will be looking to gain revenge against James Dickenson. The 16-year-old suffered a setback earlier in the winter when he lost for the second time to the Merseyside champion, but he knows he must win to keep alive his 2012 Olympic dreams.

And, after two controversial points decisions against him, Khan will be looking for a knockout to be assured of victory.

But there was disappointment for Farnworth's Amraiz Iqbal, who had defeated England international Mark Heffron (Boarshaw) in the semi-final, after he lost a split decision against Salford's Martin Mongon.

Radcliffe Dynamics' Hayden Haslam, meanwhile, defeated Liverpool's S Keogh on points in his debut fight.

The 13-year-old, along with club-mates Jordan Owen and Curtis Gould, in his first fight, return to action at Newbury and Farnworth ABC on Friday.
