HUGHIE Fury became the new national CYP boxing champion with a brilliant display at Leeds United’s Elland Road ground on Friday night.
The Gloves 85kg star outboxed Carl Davies (Lions Den) to claim a 15-5 points victory.
Fury, aged 17, cousin of British and Commonwealth heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, will compete for the junior ABAE title in February.
Club-mate Jack Flatley was also in fine form as he won in Ashton-under-Lyne on the same night.
