EDGWORTH have decided to join the Greater Manchester Cricket League.
The Turton club met last night to discuss and decide on their next league after resigning from the Bolton Association several weeks ago.
Members had to choose between the new expanded Bolton League and the GMCL and agreed the latter was their favoured option.
Edgworth had been members of the Association between 1902 – when they were founded – and 1915 and then from 1919 to when they resigned this year.
The Bolton Road club were one of the first of the eight clubs to quit the Association over the past few weeks and had remained very quiet over which option they were likely to choose.
