GREENMOUNT captain Andy Kerr wants to bow out of the Bolton League on a high by claiming the double in their final season.
The Brandlesholme Road men, who will switch to the new Greater Manchester League next season, are in contention for the title and take on Farnworth Social Circle tomorrow in the Hamer Cup semi-final.
"I took over as captain last year because I wanted to help the club win things," said Kerr, mindful they have not picked up a trophy since winning the treble – including the Lancashire Knockout – in 2011.
"I am really looking forward to taking the club into a new era and will be going all out to try to win trophies in a new league next season.
"But I do not want to leave the Bolton League empty handied.
"We have not won anything for a while and I think it is long overdue."
Westhoughton host Walkden in the other semi-final, with the final due to take place on Sunday, August 2.
